Mixing Console

16 Track Recording Studio

Ambassador Records offers their clients a full service 16-track recording studio along with professional studio musicians and producers when required. Equipment in the studio includes the M520 Tascam mixing console with parametric EQ along with a 600 watt class A power amp with JBL and Yorkville Monitors. We have a 90-16 1" tape format Tascam professional recorder and work off Smpte time code for our digital needs. We use Cakewalk on the computer and the Alesis D4 for digital drum sounds. We also have the turtle beach sound card with digital editing capability. Some of the outboard gear includes a ESI-32 digital sampler, Yamaha Rev7, Yamaha SPX90, Yamaha K1000, Furman spring reverb, six graphic EQ's along with a Symetrix limiter compressor, DBX Project 1 stereo compressor with expander gates, BBE sonic maximizer, a vocal DS'er and a Rocktron exciter/imager. We master to DAT. Some microphones used are the Neumann U87, Sennhiezer 421, Shure 57 & 58's, Shure Beta 57 and a variety of other mics. We have a baby grand piano and a seven piece Tama drum kit. Ed Ham

Ed is also a musician playing keyboards, guitar and drums. His styles have ranged from Rock'n Roll, R & B, Big Band Jazz, Country & Western, New Country, Top 40 and Gospel. Ed has shared the stage with the best and some of the artists are; Marie Osmond, Keith Knudson (Doobie Bros.) Kitty Wells, Moe Bandy, George Fox and Gordie Tapp, just to name a few. He also has toured with Tommy Hunter and now performs with Carroll Baker as her drummer. When not on tour, Ed spends his time in the recording studio producing music for various artists.
