Pastor Sam Martin and his wife
Margaret, work together serving the Lord at Safe Haven Worship Centre in
Pickering, ON. Along side of the pastoring responsibilities involved
at Safe Haven, Dr. Martin and Margaret have a real burden for needy children
around the world. Dr. Martin was led to found "The Arms of Jesus Children's
Mission" a few years ago. Margaret, on the other hand, has been given a
beautiful gift and ear for music. To assist in raising funds for "The Arms
of Jesus Children's Mission", Margaret has produced, arranged and
orchestrated - "Just A Closer Walk", a beautiful CD or cassette collection
of 20 gospel music favorites. All proceeds from the sale of this
recording are being donated to the "Arms of Jesus". Those who attend
or have visited Safe Haven already know and appreciate Margaret's beautiful
piano playing. Now there is a way to enjoy her gift of music on a daily
basis. CD's and cassettes may be purchased by contacting "The Arms of Jesus

this lovely recording, but your gift will benefit those very needy children
all over the world who rely on our help!

All over the world children's lives hang
in the balance on a daily basis.
Insufficient food, contaminated water, lack
of health care, the effects of war and poverty threaten their existence.
Thousands of these children have become "forgotten" - left to wander the
city streets and dumps with little hope for the future. For them,
an enjoyable childhood is nothing more than a dream. That is unless someone
comes to their rescue!
The Arms Of Jesus Children's Mission
believe that tomorrow can be better for these children - physically, materially,
socially and spiritually.

This is an example of a typical home in
a poor area of Guatemala. The families survive with little hope for the
future. With no running water and dirt floors many children become sick
and seldom receive medical care. The Arms Of Jesus reaches out to needy
children providing them with the basics of life including education, food
and medical help.

For many years I was captivated as I listened
to the incredible voice of Mr. Henry Shannon as he broadcast daily over
CFRB Toronto Canada, and what a thrill not only to meet Henry, but to lead
him into a personal relationship with Christ!
Then to have him read the Scriptures during
our worship services was a deeply moving experience and I felt led to encourage
Henry to prepare a CD/Tape that would touch the lives of people.
This of course through the reading of Scripture. I then asked my wife Margaret
to add the music, and prayed that the Holy Spirit would cause the Word
of God to come alive to the listeners.
Not only that, both Henry and Margaret agreed
that all proceeds should go to help provide homes for poor families in
Guatemala through The Arms of Jesus Children’s Mission. The blessing therefore
touches the world!
